KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock (MoAIL) says that an Indian company, RC International, has pledged to purchase Afghan agricultural products for distribution in Indian markets.
In a statement, the ministry said Deputy Minister Maulvi Sadr Azam Usmani met with Gurvinder Singh Malhotra, Director of RC International, at his office in Kabul on Sunday.
The discussions focused on the export of Afghan products such as fresh and dried fruits, saffron and medicinal plants.
Deputy Minister Usmani emphasized that Afghan agricultural goods are organic, high-quality, and capable of meeting the demands of Indian consumers.
In response, Malhotra reaffirmed his company’s readiness to buy Afghan products and supply them to markets across India.
