Robber killed in clash with security forces in Kandahar

KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): One armed robber has been killed and another injured in a clash with security forces in Kandahar city, an official said on Tuesday.

Police spokesman Mullah Asadullah Jamshid told Pajhwok Afghan News that the incident occurred on Monday in the 12th police district of Kandahar city.

He added that the clash took place in the Nazak Kota area when a security forces patrol encountered two armed robbers.

According to Jamshid, the robbers opened fire on the security forces while attempting to flee, but one was shot and killed during the exchange.

Security forces recovered a pistol from the deceased, while the other suspect managed to escape.
