Man gunned down by father-in-law in Kandahar

KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): A man has been shot dead by his father-in-law in the Spin Boldak district of southern Kandahar province, an official said on Thursday.

Hafiz Haqmal, information officer of Spin Boldak district, told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident happened in the Shaheed Bazaar area yesterday.

He said the victim was a vegetable trader.

According to Haqmal, the suspect has been arrested, who claimed he killed his son-in-law to avenge the murder of his daughter last year.

Both families originally belong to Uruzgan province but they currently live in Spin Boldak, the official added.
