KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Education says that a new model high school named after Sayed Jamaluddin Afghan will be opened in Kabul soon for talented students.
A statement from the ministry said the high school would meet all educational standards and was dedicated to educating and training talented and outstanding students from all remote and deprived areas, including the central capital.
Talented students from the seventh, eighth and ninth grades from remote areas will be enrolled in the model school.
The statement said the high school would have classrooms equipped with all modern equipment, a computer lab, a laboratory, a library, a well-equipped dormitory, a canteen and an open green environment, and experienced and highly qualified teachers would carry out the teaching process.
Apart from the curriculum, students will be offered special teaching programs in the fields of science and Islamic studies to better prepare them for future courses.
Currently, 200 students have been enrolled in the Sayed Jamaluddin Afghan Model High School and this number is expected to be increased to 600 in the near future.
