KABUL (Pajhwok): Minister of Commerce and Industry Nooruddin Azizi has invited Chinese companies to invest in Afghanistan and bring advanced technologies to the country.
During his visit to China, Azizi attended the 138th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair), the Ministry of Commerce and Industry said in a statement.
At the fair, he toured various industrial sectors, including machinery production, construction equipment, electrical industries, energy, and building materials. He also held meetings and discussions with representatives of several major Chinese companies.
Expressing interest in China’s industrial and technological expertise, Azizi encouraged Chinese companies to invest in Afghanistan and transfer their advanced technologies and industrial experience to the country.
He emphasized that Afghanistan is ready to cooperate and provide the necessary facilities for international companies in both production and infrastructure sectors.
The China Import and Export Fair is one of the world’s largest and oldest trade events, held twice a year in Guangzhou.
More than 25,000 Chinese companies and thousands of international firms from over 200 countries participate in the fair. Its goal is to showcase new products, expand trade cooperation, and foster connections between global exporters and importers.
