7 Pakistani forces killed in North Waziristan attack

KABUL (Pajhwok): Seven Pakistani soldiers have been killed and 13 others injured in a suicide car bombing and gun attack on a military camp in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan district, according to reports.

According to a BBC report, the attack took place this morning at a Pakistani military base in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan.

On the other hand, Reuters reported that seven Pakistani policemen were killed and 13 others were injured in the attack, and the casualties were confirmed by five security officials.

However, Pakistan's state-run television (PTV) reported, citing security sources, that the attack was foiled and four attackers were killed.

The Hafiz Gul Bahadur faction of the Pakistan Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
