2 suspects arrested on murder charges in Herat

HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): Two individuals have been arrested on murder charges in western Herat province, an official said on Tuesday.

Ghulam Nabi Nabizada, spokesman for Herat police, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the arrests were made during an intelligence-led operation by personnel from the 5th municipal district.

The suspects are accused of killing a local resident a few days ago before fleeing the area. They were apprehended along with the victim’s vehicle and are now in custody.

According to Nabizada, the detainees have confessed to the crime, and their case has been referred to judicial and legal authorities for further investigation.
