KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghan nation, united under the Islamic Emirate, has defended its rights and successfully negotiated a prisoner exchange with the United States, an official said on Wednesday.
In a statement, the Ministry of Information and Culture wrote it organized a ceremony to appreciate the work and support of political analysts during recent events.
Information and Culture Minister Sheikh Sher Ahmad Haqqani said at the ceremony that during recent events, the nation, as required, supported the system with unity and solidarity, showing the world that Afghanistan was a united nation and will not allow anyone to violate its territory.
He said the IEA appreciated the activities of all media and political experts. The nation has defended its territory against any occupation with full unity.
“The IEA, as an independent system, has negotiated with major world powers and courageously defended the nation’s rights. The successful prisoner exchange with the US delegation is a prominent example of this.”
Maulvi Hayatullah Mohajir Farahi, Deputy of Publications, explained during the meeting that the ministry fully supports political analysts and media outlets.
“Media that respects Islamic and Afghan values operate with complete freedom, and the Ministry of Information and Culture supports them in all areas,” he added.
The MoIC statement said political analysts at the event emphasized that defending every inch of Afghan soil was both a national and Islamic responsibility.
Referring to Afghanistan’s retaliatory strikes against violations of territorial integrity and Pakistani airstrikes on Afghan soil, they said the Islamic Emirate’s military forces responded courageously to aggression—a response unprecedented in the country’s history and under no previous system.
