1st diesel shipment arrives via Khwaf-Herat railway

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Public Works (MoPW) has announced the arrival of more than 20 wagons of diesel fuel — totaling 1,120 tons — through the Khwaf–Herat railway line in western Herat province.

Mohammad Ashraf Haqshenas, the ministry’s spokesperson, wrote on X that, for the first time, 20 wagons of Type-02 diesel fuel, belonging to a private company, reached Rozanak Station in western Herat on Sunday evening.

He added that the Ministry of Public Works, under the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, is working to expand the country’s railway network and implement key infrastructure projects to enhance transportation and facilitate trade.
