KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation (MoRR) says more than 798,000 families received cash, food, non-food and health assistance across 27 provinces last month.
In a post on X, the ministry stated: “Last month, assistance was distributed to about 798,734 families — including returnees, displaced persons and host communities — in 27 provinces of the country, worth a total of 170,708,186 afghanis.”
According to the MoRR, the aid was provided to pre-identified families in Uruzgan, Badghis, Bamyan, Badakhshan, Baghlan, Balkh, Paktia, Takhar, Jawzjan, Khost, Daikundi, Sar-i-Pul, Samangan, Ghazni, Ghor, Farah, Kandahar, Kapisa, Kabul, Maidan Wardak, Nangarhar, Nuristan, Nimroz, Helmand, Zabul, Faryab and Herat provinces.
The ministry noted that 793,319 families received cash, food, non-food and health assistance through national and international organizations, coordinated by the ministry’s provincial offices.
Additionally, 1,415 families were provided with hygiene kits, winter clothing and other non-food assistance, the MoRR added.
