KABUL (Pajhwok): The High Commission for Addressing Refugee Affairs says that about 9,391 Afghan refugees were expelled from Iran and Pakistan on Tuesday.

Mullah Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate, shared the commission’s daily operational report on his X account today, stating that 1,492 Afghan families—a total of 9,391 individuals—returned to the country from Iran and Pakistan.

According to Fitrat, the returnees entered Afghanistan through Islam Qala in Herat, the Silk Bridge in Nimroz, Spin Boldak in Kandahar, Bahramshe in Helmand, and Torkham in Nangarhar provinces.

He added that assistance was provided to 2,050 families among the returnees, and 1,552 SIM cards from telecommunications companies were distributed to them.

This comes a day after 10,396 Afghan refugees were also forcibly repatriated from Iran and Pakistan.
