KABUL (Pajhwok): The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister stressed strict adherence to existing institutional procedures to improve coordination between donors, agencies and government bodies.
According to a statement from the Economic Deputy of the Office of the Prime Minister, officials reviewed the current status of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) in sectoral ministries and agencies, examined the reasons for delays and discussed potential solutions.
Participants emphasized that properly implementing these procedures is essential for effective coordination and oversight of institutional activities.
They noted that this approach would help resolve ongoing issues and ensure that projects and programs align with citizens’ needs.
Following discussions, it was decided that the Economic Deputy would follow up with sectoral agencies on each MoU within the 15-day timeframe specified in institutional procedures to identify problems and propose solutions.
The statement added that sectoral agencies should share their priorities with donors and institutions and all stakeholders are expected to fully implement the institutional procedures.
