Afghan snooker team departs for Oman championship

KABUL (Pajhwok): A five-member team from the National Snooker and Billiards Federation has departed for Muscat, the capital of Oman, to participate in the 2025 International Snooker Championship.

In a statement, the National Olympic Committee, Physical Education, and Sports of Afghanistan said the championship will feature players from over 30 countries, competing in both team and individual events. The tournament will run from 15 to 23 November.

The Afghan team includes three players, a coach, and an official. Mohammad Rais Hotak, Mohammad Mir Noorzai, and Mohammad Zarif Afzali will represent Afghanistan as players, Wahidullah Asghari as the coach, and Gulabuddin Khpalwak as the team official.
