2 women killed in Samangan accident

AIBAK (Pajhwok): Two women were killed and three others people were wounded in a traffic accident in northern Samangan province on Saturday, an official said.

Hashmatullah Rahimi, police spokesman, said the accident occurred after two vehicles collided in Rubatak area this afternoon.

Rahmani added that two women lost their lives in the incident, and three others persons sustained injuries.

He stated that the traffic incident response team of the Samangan Police was dispatched to the scene and the injured were transferred to the Baghlan Provincial Hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, officials from the Traffic Department of the Police cited drivers’ negligence as the cause of the accident.
