6 killed, 3 wounded in Laghman traffic accident

KABUL (Pajhwok): At least six people, including women and children, were killed and three others wounded after a vehicle overturned and caught fire in Qarghayi district of eastern Laghman province on Sunday.

A Corolla-type vehicle veered off the road due to reckless driving, overturned and subsequently caught fire in the Miakhan Kas area of the district at around 4:00am this morning, the provincial governor’s office said in a statement.

It said six people, including women and children, lost their lives and three others were injured in the incident.

The statement added that the injured were evacuated to the Kaks hospital in Qarghayi district for medical treatment.
