KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation (MoRR) says it has inked 58 cooperation agreements worth more than 15 billion afghanis this year with national and international non-governmental organizations across the country.
In a statement, the ministry said that since the beginning of the current solar year, it signed agreements with national and international NGOs valued at 15,389,558,465,12 afghanis, equivalent to 231,143,864 US dollars.
It said these agreements was aimed to provide improved services to returnees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), vulnerable families, orphans and host communicates.
The assistance under these agreements includes cash and non-cash support, food and non-food items, healthcare supplies, counselling services and the construction of shelters, benefiting a large number of people.
The ministry added that it was striving to deliver quality humanitarian services to returnees and IDPs across the country, enabling them to live in an atmosphere of peace, unity and brotherhood.
