HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): For the first time, an exhibition of miniature and painting artworks titled “Noon wa Nuqta” has been opened by the Ofuq Art Group in cooperation with the Herat Information and Culture Department at the Allama Salahuddin Saljooqi Hall here.
The three-day exhibition features a collection of artworks created through pointillism techniques and fine detailed painting.
Abdul Jabbar Naji, the organizer of the exhibition, said that around 230 artworks—large and small— including paintings, miniature designs and creative pieces using dotting artistry, were on display.
According to Naji, the exhibition aims to promote the traditional art of pointillism and encourage young people to learn indigenous art forms.
Meanwhile, Information and Culture Department officials explained such exhibitions play a key role in showcasing young artistic talent and creating opportunities for the growth of visual arts in the province.
Mawlawi Hamidullah Ghiyasi, head of culture and arts at the department, said during the opening ceremony that the administration is working with cultural organizations to facilitate more artistic exhibitions in Herat.
Participating artists said exhibitions like this not only highlight miniature art and pointillism techniques but also provide experience and motivation for young artists and contribute to reviving traditional and contemporary arts in Herat.
