10 killed, several injured in Herat traffic accident

HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): At least 10 people were killed and several others injured in a traffic accident on the Herat-Kandahar highway in western Herat province on Sunday, police official said.

Police spokesman Ghulam Nabi Nabizada said a 404-type passenger vehicle veered off the road and overturned after colliding with a Flying Coach-type vehicle in Shindand district early Sunday morning.

He confirmed that 10 people lost their lives and several others were wounded in the incident. The injured were evacuated to a health center for treatment by security forces.
