KABUL (Pajhwok): At least 24 Palestinians, including children, have been killed in Israeli attacks across Gaza in the latest violation of the six-week ceasefire, Al Jazeera reports.
Authorities in Gaza said 87 others were wounded in the Saturday strikes.
Witnesses reported that the first attack targeted a car in northern Gaza City, followed by additional strikes in central Deir el-Balah and the Nuseirat refugee camp.
According to Rami Mhanna, the managing director of al-Shifa Hospital, a drone strike in Gaza City’s Remal neighbourhood killed at least 11 people and injured 20.
In Deir el-Balah, an Israeli strike on a house killed at least three people, including a woman. Anas al-Saloul, a witness, said he had been sitting in his home when a missile suddenly struck his neighbour’s house.
“We took the injured and came to the hospital,” he said. “There were injuries and deaths, and everyone in the street was covered in debris.”
The Gaza Government Media Office says Israel has violated the United States-brokered ceasefire at least 497 times since it took effect on October 10.
