Beijing, Dushanbe vow to bolster Afghan stability, reconstruction

KABUL (Pajhwok): Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi says Beijing is ready to work with Tajikistan to promote peace, stability and reconstruction in Afghanistan.

He made the remarks on Saturday during his first strategic dialogue with Tajikistan’s Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin, China’s state news agency Xinhua reported.

The two ministers also exchanged views on the situation in Afghanistan.

Wang Yi said Afghanistan, as a common neighbor of both China and Tajikistan, requires continued coordination between the two countries to advance regional peace, stability and reconstruction efforts.

He added that bilateral relations between China and Tajikistan have reached a high level.
