PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): Seven new telecom sites have been constructed and put into service in Baraki Barak and Kharwar districts and the capital of central Logar province, an official announced on Monday.
Telecommunications and Information Technology Director Mawlawi Matiullah Abid told Pajhwok Afghan News that the newly established sites helped address telecom and internet connectivity issues in many areas of the province.
He added that work was also underway to set up 12 more telecom sites in remote parts of Logar.
Meanwhile, Milad, a resident of Pul-i-Alam, expressed satisfaction over the establishment of the new telecom sites in remote areas and districts of the province.
However, he noted that some parts of the provincial capital and Mohammad Agha district still lacked access to high-speed internet services.
