PARAKH (Pajhwok): The week-long Autumn Cup volleyball held in coordination with the provincial Sports Directorate concluded in central Panjsher province, with the championship title going to the “Etihad Bazarak” team.
Governor spokesman Saifuddin Laton, told Pajhwok Afghan News that teams from districts and the provincial capital, Parakh, took part in the competition.
In the final match, Etihad Bazarak secured first place, Wahdat Abdullah Khil finished second, and the Nabard team from Dara and Abshar districts claimed third place, he added.
He emphasized that with improved security and a peaceful environment in Panjshir, sports activities have expanded in the province.
Laton further stated that the Islamic Emirate is implementing programs to support sports growth and encourage youth to stay away from drugs.
At the post-final match ceremony, cups, medals, and certificates of appreciation were awarded to the winners.
