Iranian delegation in Herat to discuss trade, agreements

HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): The governor of Iran’s Razavi Khorasan province has arrived in western Herat province at the head of a delegation, an official said on Wednesday.

Mohammad Younus Qazizada, head of the Herat Chamber of Commerce and Investment, said that a high-level Iranian delegation consisting of 65 members, led by Ghulam Hussain Mozaffari, governor of Razavi Khorasan, entered Herat province through the Islam Qala border crossing.

He added that during the visit, scheduled economic meetings with Herat traders and investors will be hosted by the Chamber of Commerce and Investment.

Meanwhile, governor spokesman Mohammad Yousuf Saeedi explained the purpose of the delegation’s visit is to discuss expanding commercial relations, improving facilities at the Islam Qala–Dogharoon crossing, and reviewing previous agreements between the two countries.
