1 killed, 7 injured in Samangan traffic accident

AIBAK (Pajhwok): One person was killed and seven others injured in a traffic accident in northern Samangan province, officials said on Friday.

Police spokesman Hashmatullah Rahmani said the accident occurred on the Aibak–Mazar highway in Khulam district when a Pasu vehicle collided with an Alto car.

He confirmed that one person died and at least seven others were injured.

Rahmani added that the injured were taken to the district clinic by police traffic personnel, and their condition is reported as stable.

The main cause of the accident was driver negligence and excessive speed.
