KABUL (Pajhwok) The Afghan ambassador in Moscow said at the Third International Forum on the North–South Transport Corridor that connecting this corridor with the Lapis Lazuli Route and the Six-Nation Land Corridor could spark major economic changes across Eurasia.
The Afghan Embassy in Moscow wrote on its X-page that Ambassador Mawlawi Gul Hassan Hassan emphasized during the gathering that linking the North–South Corridor with these routes would pave the way for significant economic transformation in the region.
The embassy added that other speakers at the forum also underscored the importance of the corridor and stressed that regional economic development is closely tied to stability in Afghanistan.
According to the source, the Afghan ambassador also met with the acting governor of Astrakhan to discuss economic cooperation, transit facilities, and Afghanistan’s strategic importance. He additionally visited the city’s commercial port.
