KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation (MoTCA) has signed agreements with six firms for the installation of Global Positioning System (GPS) tracking devices in passenger and cargo vehicles across the country.
In a statement, the ministry said the agreements were signed in the presence of Deputy Minister Mullah Abdul Salam Haidari.
Under the agreements, the companies will install tracking devices in passenger and cargo vehicles nationwide and provide all necessary facilitation for the process.
The ministry did not provide further details, but said the initiative would play a vital role in standardizing and improving the management of transport vehicles.
