Man arrested in Logar for allegedly killing his wife

PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): A man has been arrested on charges of murdering his wife in the Baraki Barak district of central Logar province, an official said on Thursday.

Police spokesman Ahmadullah Anas told Pajhwok Afghan News that the incident occurred recently and security forces detained the woman’s husband for his alleged involvement in her killing.

According to Anas, initial investigations suggest that the suspect killed his wife with a knife.

He said the suspect is currently in police custody for further interrogation.

Additional details of the case will be shared with the media upon completion of the investigation, the spokesman added.
