KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Interior (MoI) says police have impounded 1,200 single-key and undocumented vehicles over the past week in different parts of Kabul city.
On its X platform, the MoI wrote: “The Public Security Department, in cooperation with Kabul Traffic Police, seized 1,200 undocumented and single-key vehicles within a week and transferred them to the Police Township.”
According to MoI, joint checkpoints have been established at Kabul’s entry gates and in various areas of the city to prevent the movement of vehicles without legal documents or those operating with a single key.
It said the aim of this operation is to stop the movement of vehicles without proper legal documentation and to reduce security threats in the city.
