KABUL (Pajhwok): Six Pakistani soldiers have been killed in an attack on a security post in the Kurram district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), according to media reports on Tuesday.
The assault took place on a security checkpoint between Monday night and early Tuesday morning, Reuters reported, citing three police officials. All six personnel stationed at the post were killed.
The incident follows a December 2 attack in KP’s Bannu district, where four people — including Shah Waliullah, the assistant commissioner of North Waziristan — were killed. Three others, including two policemen, were injured in the attack.
