Afghan futsal squad to hold training camp in Kuwait

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghanistan Football Federation (AFF) has announced that the national futsal team will hold a five-day training camp in Kuwait later this month.

In a statement, the AFF said the camp—organized in coordination with the team’s technical and management staff—will run from December 18 to 23, 2025.

During the camp, the Afghan futsal team is scheduled to play two friendly matches against Kuwait’s national futsal team on December 20 and 22.

According to the federation, the purpose of the camp is to strengthen the squad’s preparation ahead of the 2026 AFC Futsal Asian Cup. Additional training camps are also planned to further boost the team’s readiness.

The 2026 AFC Men’s Futsal Asian Cup will be hosted by Indonesia from January 27 to February 7, with 16 teams expected to compete.
