Ex-ISI chief Faiz Hameed sentenced to 14 years in prison

KABUL (Pajhwok): Pakistani military court has sentenced former Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) chief Faiz Hameed to 14 years on charges related to “political activities and violating the Official Secrets Act.”

According to Geo News, Pakistan’s military public relations office said the military court sentenced Hameed to 14 years rigorous imprisonment.

The trial of Faiz Hameed lasted 15 months, the report said.

He was tried on four charges, including involvement in “political activities, violating the Official Secrets Act, actions harmful to national security and interests, misuse of authority and state resources, and causing unlawful loss to persons.”

The Pakistan Army stated that after a lengthy legal process, the accused was found guilty on all charges and was sentenced to 14 years by the court in a verdict issued on December 11, 2025.

The report added that the military court followed all legal procedures, and the accused had full access to his legal rights, including the right to a defense team of his choice.
