KABUL (Pajhwok): Pakistan and Iran continue to forcibly expel Afghan refugees as another more than 3,400 refugees returned to the country from yesterday.
Mullah Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate, shared daily work report of the committees of the Secretariat of the High Commission for Addressing Refugee Problems on his X-Page, showing that 632 families, totaling 3,401 individuals, returned to the country from Iran and Pakistan yesterday.
Fitrat wrote these refugees returned via Islam Qala in Herat, Silk Bridge in Nimroz, Bahramcha in Helmand, Spin Boldak in Kandahar and Torkham crossing in Nangarhar.
He added that 632 returning families, totaling 3,401 people, were transferred to their native areas yesterday and 776 families were assisted.
He said 709 SIM cards of telecommunication networks were also distributed among the refugees.
The previous day, 3,500 refugees were forcibly returned to the country from Iran and Pakistan.
