Police detain robbers intending to kill taxi driver

JALALAABAD (Pajhwok): Police have arrested three robbers intending to kill a taxi driver and steal his car in Behsud district of eastern Nangarhar province.

A statement from the Nangarhar Police Headquarters said: “The armed men had taken the driver to the Ring Road outside the city and intended to kill him and steal his car, but security forces prevented the incident by taking timely action.”

The statement said a pistol and a motorcycle were recovered from the detainees, who had confessed to their crime. The detainees are currently under preliminary investigations.

The arrested men will be handed over to the relevant judicial and legal institutions after the legal process is completed.
