GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): More than 1,300 returning Afghan refugee families on Friday received cash assistance from the Afghan Red Crescent Society in Ghazni province.
Maulvi Syed Minhajuddin, head of the Southeastern Zone of the Afghan Red Crescent Society, told a gathering here in this regard that more than 22 million afghanis were distributed to the refugees.
He said the assistance had been provided with financial support from the International Committee of the Red Cross and 17,000 afghanis were given to each family.
About a month ago, the Afghan Red Crescent Society distributed cash assistance amounting to about 19 million afghanis to such families.
