GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): A two-month-long futsal tournament, featuring 48 teams, has concluded in Ghazni city, the capital of southern Ghazni province, with the Pamir team emerging as champions.
Bilal Mujahid, Director of Sports and Physical Training, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the tournament, titled “Niyash Mutbuya,” began two months ago in the provincial capital.
He said the Pamir team secured the title after defeating Khorasan 5–2 in the final match, with Khorasan finishing as runners-up.
Participants also expressed their satisfaction with the organisation of the event. Asadullah, one of the players, said he was pleased with the successful arrangement of the tournament by the Sports and Physical Training Department.
At the closing ceremony, trophies, medals and certificates of appreciation were awarded to the top teams by the department.
