SHEBERGHAN (Pajhwok): A child lost his life in a traffic accident in Khamab district of northern Jawzjan province, an official said on Sunday.
Police spokesman Qari Abdul Sattar Halimi said the incident occurred at 1:00pm on Saturday in Nawabad Mohajir village of the district.
He said the child was run over by a trailer truck and later succumbed to severe injuries after being taken to a clinic.
According to Halimi, the driver of the trailer truck has been taken into custody.
