KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) on Wednesday announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against the West Indies and the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
Veteran leg-spinner Rashid Khan will lead the side in the mega event, scheduled to kick off on February 7 and jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka, ACB wrote on its Facebook page.
Experienced fast bowler Naveen-ul-Haq has returned to the squad after recovering from injury, while Abdullah Ahmadzai is set to make his World Cup debut for Afghanistan.
Afghanistan have been placed in Group D alongside South Africa, New Zealand, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Canada.
Rashid Khan-led squad will begin their campaign against New Zealand on February 8, 2026 in Chennai.
