5 of a family killed in Herat roof collapse

KABUL (Pajhwok): Five members of a family lost their lives after the roof of a house collapsed in Oba district of western Herat province.

Mufti Mohammad Yousuf Saeedi, spokesman for the Herat governor, confirmed the incident to Pajhwok Afghan News, saying it occurred on Thursday as a result of heavy rainfall. He said the victims included one woman and four children.

Basir Ahmad, a resident of Oba district, also confirmed the incident, stating it took place in Kabgan village.

According to him, the collapse claimed the lives of a woman and her four children—two daughters and two sons—while the husband sustained injuries.
