MAIMANA (Pajhwok): A 28-year-old man was killed when a hand grenade exploded in Qaisar district of northern Faryab province, police said on Tuesday.
Police spokesman Mawlawi Abdullah Muradi told Pajhwok Afghan News that the incident occurred late on Monday night.
“Syed Safiullah, 28, a resident of Ziaratgah village in Qaisar district, lost his life as a result of a hand-grenade explosion,” he said.
According to police, the blast occurred while the victim was inside his bedroom handling the grenade.
Muradi added that an investigation into the incident had been launched.
