KABUL (Pajhwok): The Kahshan dam and canal project has been completed and inaugurated in Charkh district of central Logar province at a cost of 143,000 US dollars, the Ministry of Energy and Water (MoEW) said on Wednesday.
In a post on its X, the ministry stated that the project will now irrigate 600 hectares of agricultural land and benefit around 2,000 families.
Funded by the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) and implemented under the supervision of the provincial agriculture, irrigation and livestock department, the project was accounted at $143,000, MoEW added.
