KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation (MoRR) has signed a cooperation agreement worth more than $849,000 with an institute to support returnee families and host communities.
In a statement, the ministry said the agreement was signed with the Global Alliance Against Poverty and Hunger.
Under the agreement, $849,645 will be spent in Kabul and Balkh provinces on the distribution of cash assistance and the provision of drinking water, benefiting 2,078 returnee families and host communities.
The ministry said the implementation of the projects is expected to play an important role in improving the livelihoods of returnees and reducing problems caused by the lack of basic resources.
