3-day domestic products fair opens in Nimroz to promote local goods

KABUL (Pajhwok): A three-day exhibition showcasing domestic products has commenced in the northwestern Nimroz province, aimed at supporting local producers and promoting Afghan goods.

The exhibition, which is being held in Zaranj, was organised by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MoIC) in collaboration with the marketing company Sikaram Ahmadi.

According to the MoIC, entrepreneurs and traders from various sectors are displaying a diverse range of products, including food items, industrial goods, handicrafts, medicines, and medical supplies, across 50 stalls.

At the opening ceremony, Deputy Governor Mawlawi Torjan Ahmadi highlighted the significance of such events, emphasising that exhibitions of domestic products play a crucial role in strengthening the local economy, fostering the development of indigenous industries, and introducing Afghan products to wider markets.

Meanwhile, Fazl Mohammad Fazel, Head of the Provincial Department of Industry and Commerce, offered full support for domestic producers in areas such as marketing, product quality enhancement, and the expansion of commercial activities.

He added that creating favourable opportunities for showcasing local products and improving producers’ access to markets remains one of the Directorate’s top priorities in the province.
