FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): Security forces have arrested two individuals for allegedly killing three people in the capital of western Farah province, an official said on Tuesday.
Police spokesman Mullah Kalimullah Nangyal told Pajhwok Afghan News: “Anti-Criminal Crimes Unit detained two individuals identified as Abdul Khaliq and Farid Ahmad in connection with the murders after a-year-long investigation and monitoring.”
He said the suspects had allegedly shot dead three residents of the 4th municipal district in Farah city, the provincial capital, about a year ago and then fled the area.
“Security forces had been working to identify and apprehend those responsible for the triple murder. The suspects were identified and arrested in recent days,” he added.
A weapon was also seized from the detainees and were referred to judicial organs after initial investigations, the police spokesman concluded.
