ZARANJ (Pajhwok): Security forces have foiled the smuggling of 240 litres of acid and over 8,000 kilograms of copper to neighbouring Pakistan from northwestern Nimroz province, an official said on Saturday.
Police spokesman Mawlawi Gul Mohammad Qudrat told Pajhwok Afghan News that the anti-narcotics department intercepted the chemicals, which had been concealed in a truck.
He added that three individuals have also been arrested in connection with the smuggling.
