KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan defeated Saudi Arabia by 3-0 in their opening match of AFC Futsal Asian Cup 2026 in Indonesia on Wednesday.
Reza Hussainpour scored twice, while Omid Qambari added another goal as Afghanistan secured all three points in the Group D encounter, played in Jakarta.
The national team will face Malaysia in their second group-stage match on January 30, followed by a clash against Iran on February 1.
The AFC Futsal Asian Cup 2026, featuring 16 teams, kicked off on Tuesday in Indonesia.
Afghanistan have been placed in Group D alongside Iran, Saudi Arabia and Malaysia.
