In the second round of the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup, Afghanistan defeated Ireland by 191 runs and secured a place in the semi-finals of the tournament.
The match was played today in Zimbabwe. Afghanistan won the toss and chose to bat first.
Batting first, Afghanistan scored 315 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 50 overs.
For Afghanistan, Faisal Shinwari scored 163 runs, while Mahboob Khan added 89.
Ireland failed to chase the target and were bowled out for 124 runs in the 41st over, losing the match by 191 runs.
With this victory, Afghanistan advanced to the semi-finals of the competition.
