KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghan mixed martial arts fighters Javid Basharat and Farid Basharat are set to face opponents from Mexico and Brazil, respectively, in Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) bouts tomorrow (Sunday).
The fights are scheduled to take place in Las Vegas, United States.
Javid Basharat’s opponent has changed ahead of the event. He was originally set to fight Nurmagomedov from Dagestan but will now take on Mexico’s Gianni Vazquez.
Meanwhile, Farid Basharat, Javid’s younger brother, will face 26-year-old Brazilian fighter Jean Matsumoto.
Javid Basharat, 30, has competed in 16 professional bouts, securing 14 wins and suffering two losses. Farid Basharat, 28, remains unbeaten, having claimed victory in all 14 of his professional fights.
