Health ministry team travels to Turkey for talks on medicines

Kabul (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) says that Dr. Naeemullah Ayobi, Director General of the Department of Drug and Health Products, along with his technical team, has traveled to Turkey on an official visit.

According to a statement posted on X on Saturday, the MoPH said the delegation will meet with officials from the Turkish Drug Administration to discuss key issues related to the regulation of drugs and health products. The visit will also include tours of drug manufacturing facilities in Turkey.

The MoPH emphasized that the trip aims to strengthen coordination between Afghanistan and Turkey in the production and import of medicines, ensuring that citizens have access to high-quality, reasonably priced drugs in both the short and long term.
