KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Interior (MoI) on Saturday distributed new vehicles to personnel of the General Directorate of Traffic Police, saying the vehicles feature special colors, markings and modern equipment.
The vehicles will be used to strengthen traffic management, prevent accidents and provide rapid services to the public in cities and along major highways.
In a post on X, the MoI said a number of new and modern vehicles had been prepared and officially handed over to the General Directorate of Traffic Police to enhance traffic order and improve services in urban areas.
According to the ministry, the vehicles—bearing distinctive traffic police colors, markings, and modern equipment—will play an effective role in maintaining traffic order in cities and on main roads, preventing accidents, and delivering prompt services to the public.
Traffic police officials said that with the allocation of the new vehicles, enforcement of traffic laws would improve, police response at accident scenes would become faster, and public trust would be further strengthened.
