Over 1,750 detained while crossing Herat border illegally

Herat City (Pajhwok): Security forces in western Herat province have detained more than 1,700 individuals over the past week who were attempting to leave the country illegally through smuggling routes.

In a statement, the 207 Al-Farooq Army Corps said that security forces from the 9th and 10th Border Brigades carried out coordinated operations during the past week in the Ghoryan and Kohsan districts of the province.

According to the statement, a total of 1,755 individuals attempting to cross the Herat border illegally were identified and detained during these operations.

After completing the necessary checks and legal procedures, the detained individuals were returned to their respective places of origin.
